"Travelling Poland-at home in Europe. My private Wiemar Triangle" - exhibition

Every particular border can be crossed. Only the sole existence of the border cannot be corssed.

The project consists of two simultaneous messages: the visual- it is the exhibition of Weiland Zeitler and the verbal message-the discussion forum "Quo Vadis Wiemar Triangle" with the participation of the representatives of diplomacy from Poland, Germany and France, the local government from Pomeranian region and media on 15.09.2014.

The establishing of the Weimar Triangle in 1991 was initiating activities of Poland, Germany and France aimed at the future, where social and cultural goals would be complemented with foreign and European affairs. Wieland Zeitler is an artist living and working on the meeting point of the three cultures: German, French and Polish. In 1964-71 he studied painting, art history and philosophy at Hochschule der Kunste in Berlin; he perfected his workshop at master classes of Fred Theiler. He lives in Berlin and Grad (France) .

In the context of this year's anniversaries: 10th anniversary of Poland in EU, 25th anniversary of free elections, the project is the voice in an open debate on the European identity and becomes a consistent message on how the idea of the Wiemar Triangle is current facing European challenges and dangers. Chancellor Angela Merkel said on the Weimar summit in 2006 : "Weimar Triangle was established not only to help politicians to meet but also to let the societies come closer. "

The project "Travelling Poland-at home in Europe. My private Wiemar Triangle" is an attractive and an important voice in defining the European identity open to the world, understood dynamically as the set of features- emphasizing the diversity as the joining element of the EU, turning attention to the social and culture creating role of the local experiences in building the citizens societies. We aim our project to the local audiences and international tourists.
