Małgorzata Krakowiak
Graduated in 1997 from the Faculty of Painting and Print Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, specialising in artistic textiles. Now she runs a Drawing and Painting Workshop in the Youth Cultural Centre in Gdańsk. In 1992 she was a scholarship holder at the Academy of Fine Arts in Perpignan (France) and in 2004 – in Kleinsassen Gallery in Germany. In 2009 she received a Cultural Scholarship of the City of Gdańsk, and in 2017 – a Scholarship of the Marshal of Pomorskie Province. Her main areas of interest are unique textiles and painting; her works have been shown at individual and collective exhibitions in Warsaw, Paris, Łódź, Tri-City and other cities.

“Biology of Consciousness” is an exhibition of works by Małgorzata Krakowiak including woven objects recording several years of the artist’s explorations in both organic and spiritual spheres. The woven forms representing a combination of both these aspects invite the viewer to enter the state of MINDFULNESS.
