12th Baltic Meetings of Illustrators. POLISH PICTURE BOOK.
We invite you to the next Baltic Meetings of Illustrators. This year's edition will focus on a Polish Picture Book.
The title of POLISH PICTURE BOOK SCHOOL refers to such phenomena as the Polish School of Illustration, the Polish Poster School or the Polish Film School, pointing directly to the high artistic level of this genre in Polish contemporary art.
Lovers of book design will be introduced not only to the latest achievements, but also to the development of this art from the 1950s to the present day.
Children and adults are invited to the exhibition, meetings with artists and workshops.
Exhibition POLISH PICTURE BOOK
26th October- 8th December 2017
It presents about 100 books, published in recent years and those no longer available on the Polish market. Lovers of picture books will find here their favourite authors - from Józef Wilkon, Bohdan Butenko, Janusz Stanny, Adam Kilian, as well as Aleksandra and Daniel Mizielińscy, Marta Ignerska, Agata Królak and Aleksandra Cieślak.
The opening on 26th October at 7 p. m.
The exhibition is open: 10.00-18.00, admission free

POLISH PICTURE BOOK SCHOOL is a guide and an album in one! The publication presents achievements of Polish Picture Book from the 1950s to the present day. It contains reproductions of selected picture books and texts about historical development and also artistic contexts of presented works and biographical notes of authors
