We want the conference to be our intelectual input into European Football Championship EURO 2012 that will take place in Poland (also in Gdansk) and Ukraine next year. Participants of the conference will investigate presence of football in the area of different fields of art: literature, film, theatre and widely perceived culture. We will host the finest Polish specialist dealing with the issue.
The conference will be accompanied by an exhibition of theatrical and film posters connected with football, an exhibition of books about football as well as with a presentation of a film Piłkarski poker (Football Poker) and a meeting with its creators.
Issues of death, illness and adversity for a long time weren’t present in art created for children – similarly sex, domestic abuse or parents’ divorce. Nevertheless, the last decade has brought changes on this field and more and more often authors of books for children reach for the taboo subjects. Mostly Scandinavian authors and illustrators tend to present these subjects, but it can also be noticed at Austrian, Swiss or Portugese authors and artists.

Mariacka under the Stars is a meeting of amber and art in natural scenography of one of the most beautiful streets of old Gdansk - Mariacka Street. Here are traditionally located galleries and studios preparing and presenting amber. This is already the second time that the International Amber Asocciation prepared the celebration along with Gdańsk International Trade Fair, many cultural institutions and the St. Mary’s Basilica.

This international conference is organized in cooperation with the Culture Action Europe – the biggest European network of institutions and organizations focused on cultural policy – within the European culture-oriented campaign WE ARE MORE!. It also involves engagement of representatives of the Citizens of Culture Movement. The conference will be devoted to two thematic areas: Culture in political dimension and Culture in participatory dimension.

Ecological culture inn (Ekologiczny pensjonat kultury) is a one-week cultural program within Open Culture Spa, concerned with activity of Swelina Association which will embrace lectures, workshops, exhibitions, screenings and concerts with an ecological picnic on the beach as a finale.

World Cafe: Democracy – Art Sopot 2011 project is a mobile structure that combines reflection on urban policy and artistic presentations as well as cultural and civic education. We will reach places that are not traditionally associated with culture and the other way round – places of culture (such as the State Art Gallery or the Sopot Museum) will be transformed into the center of citizens’ debates. We will establish a metaphorical Participatory Office – a place of meetings, ideological disputes and reflections on the contemporary world.

Off Centre | Poza Centrum project embraces a cycle of artistic and performance actions whose central figure and scenery will be Kamienny Potok residential block located at Tatrzańska street, in the vicinity of railway track and major artery.
The heart of the project will be a rented apartment which will serve as an alternative gallery, studio and artistic office. Off Centre project is to surprise inhabitants as well as participants and audiences with unexpected micro (elevator, apartment, balcony) and macro (façade) scale of artistic performance and events.

The foundation supports widely defined cooperation as well as cultural and intellectual exchange between the representatives coming from the two coastlines of the Mediterranean Sea (43 countriesof the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership). It also carries out minor programmes that promote disseminating the idea of the dialogue and international comprehension.
