The Centre’s publishing activity is inextricably linked with the projects we prepare – most of it are post-conference materials’ publications which, owing both to the subject matter and to the outstanding authors involved in our projects, become popular and, to our utmost amazement, sell extremely well. Often, they appear on reading lists at universitites (e.g. “The Fortifications of Gdańsk”, “The Town House in the North European Countries”, or “200 Years of the Theatre on Targ Węglowy in Gdańsk”, and “An Encounter in Works by Ryszard Kapuściński”).

Apart from valuable, often bilingual collections of essays and lecture papers the BSCC also publishes a variety of materials concerning our exhibitions – including both exhibition catalogues (e.g. “Artist in Wonderland”, 2007) as well as albums (e.g. art and poetry albums – “The Strokes. Self portrait by Marian Kołodziej”, „Between a Word and Light. Poetry and Paintings by Contemporary Artists from the Gdansk Coast”).

In 2010 in the framework of the Chopin Year we have published our first book for children: "ÒPÒWIÉDZ MIE BÔJKÃ... / OPOWIEDZ MI BAJKĘ". A bilingual, Polish-Kashubian, title is a collection of Kashubian fairy tales. The book was published together with a CD – all the fairy tales are read here by actors both in Polish and Kashubian language.
