The building of the Old Town Hall was built at the end of the 16th century for the Council of the Old Town. Soon it became the centre of the local business. The famous astronomer and brewer Johannes Hevelius had his stores in its cellars. The Great Hall was the place of the official meetings of local authorities and also was used as a place of balls and banquets.

Nowadays - like ages ago - politicians and businessmen are visiting our Old Town Hall very often. Here they make very important decisions about their companies and the future of our region. In the evenings we can hear sounds of music and poetry in the Great Hall.
