François Dumont – piano recital

Soon a young, incredibily talented French pianist, laureate of this year’s edition of the International Chopin Piano Competition, François Dumont, will perform in Gdansk. The Baltic Sea Cultural Centre and the Frideric Chopin Society - Gdansk have a great pleasure to invite for his recital!

FRANÇOIS DUMONT
Born 19 October 1985 in Lyon. Graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris, where he studied with Bruno Rigutto. Honed his piano skills at the International Piano Academy Lago di Como in Italy.
2007 saw his successful appearances at the Councours Musical International Reine Elizabeth de Belgique and the Vlado Perlemuter Competition in France (third prizes) and the Jean Françoix Competition in France (first prize).
Awarded fourth prize in the International Piano Competition in Hamamatsu, 2009. Performs in Europe and the United States. Has recorded a CD for Diapazon d'Or.
