Piano recital of Paweł Wakarecy

Along with the Frederic Chopin Association in Gdansk we have a pleasure to invite you to a piano recital of Paweł Wakarecy. The musician was praised as the best Polish pianist during the last International Frideric Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (2010).

TICKETS: 5 zł (concessionary) and 15 zł (regular) can be purchased in the Old Town Hall one hour before the concert begins.

Paweł Wakarecy – born 1987 in Toruń. Student of Feliks Nowowiejski Music Academy in Bydgoszcz ( prof. Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń class).
He is a laureate of numerous nationwide and international piano contests for young musicians. He was awarded with a special prize at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski International Piano Contest in Bydgoszcz (2007). Wakarecy was also a finalist of the International Frederic Chopin Contest in Darmstadt (2009) and in 2010 the jury of the XVI International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw praized him as the best Polish musician taking part in the competition.
Wakarecy was performing in many Polish cities and abroad – in Germany, Sweden, Russia, Bulgaria, France, Switzerland, China, Japan. Regularly performs as a soloist with the Toruń Symphonic Orchestra.
