Album „Secretly” is my own tribute to Peter Gabriel. His personality, charisma and often very brave artistic attitude inspire to create a new quality, new sound, to think about space. Music of this artist doesn’t have a genre-defined formula and thanks to it we could give it a mild, specific for jazz improvised character – this is how Stańko herself defines her fascination with Gabriel’s music and the work on the „Secretly” album. She emphesis the softness of its sound and an interesting choice of instruments that gave an album a specific, dark character.
