We Are More - Culture Conference [Open Culture SPA]

This international conference is organized in cooperation with the Culture Action Europe – the biggest European network of institutions and organizations focused on cultural policy – within the European culture-oriented campaign WE ARE MORE!. It also involves engagement of representatives of the Citizens of Culture Movement. The conference will be devoted to two thematic areas: Culture in political dimension and Culture in participatory dimension.

The outcome of the conference will be a list of conclusions and recommendations for individual ministries referring to the methods of increasing financing of culture from social, educational and infrastructural funds. The recommendations will be presented during the European Culture Congress in Wrocław (September 8 – 11).

The structure of the conference refers to active participation as, for example, in the BarCamp method (user-generated conferences) whose essence lies in sharing of knowledge and culture as well as availability, openness and reconstruction of meanings and structures.
