If you are a woman aged between 18-35 and you are interested in comics and social affairs, we are pleased to invite you to participate in workshops which will take place in Gdańsk/Poland in the period between 10th and 16th November in the framework of the project Women for Democratic (R)evolution/ Kobiety dla demokratycznej (R)ewolucji. The project consists of five-day comics workshop, which will be accompanied by: intercultural workshop, exhibitions, publications and a cultural program.

Through art we would like to draw attention to women’s important role in socio-political transformations in Poland and Egypt. Reflections of 30 participants (Poland/Egypt) will be presented at exhibitions in four Polish cities and in Egypt.

The participation in the project is free of charge.

The project is organized by the Baltic Sea Cultural Centre in Gdansk in partnership with the Arteria Association(from Poland) and the Contemporary Art and Culture Centre Darb 1718 (Egypt), with financial support from the Anna Lindh Foundation and is part of the 8. Festival of World Cultures Window onto the world.
