I CULTURE Orchestra is back in Gdańsk with a special chamber concert for citizens of Gdańsk, on 14 August at 20:00, at St. John’s Culture Centre.

I CULUTURE Orchestra is the ensemble of outstandingly talented musicians from Poland and countries of Eastern Partnership, founded by Instytut Adama Mickiewicza in 2011. ICO has very special ties with Gdańsk, the Orchestra is performing for fourth time at the cradle of Solidarity movement, relating to this most important idea, gaining profound meaning today.

Just before setting off for their European tour, on 14 August at St. John’s Centre, the Orchestra will perform the special chamber concert, written already into the tradition of the Orchestra’s program. Gdańsk is the only place where the Orchestra repeats its performance, this is how they pay tribute to the city where they like to come back. Second concert inaugurating the Orchestra’s official tour is going to take place on 17 August at Polish Baltic Philharmonics of Fryderyk Chopin.

During their tour, the ICO conducted by Kirill Karabits, will perform in Germany, Ukraine, Georgia and Spain.

Until now, the Orchestra performed 29 concerts in 22 cities in 15 countries.

The Baltic Sea Cultural Centre is the partner of the chamber concert.
