The thematic theme of 10 Baltic Meetings of Illustrators are LETTERS

Letters are the basic elements of cultural heritage. Letters are carriers of information, but are also graphic signs creating the level of visual culture and also an excellent pretext to play and developing creativity. 
Within the project we have exhibition of illustrators from Poland and the Baltic Sea countries, workshops, lectures and meetings relating to typography, history and role of letters in art and everyday life.

Participating in the project are artists from the Baltic Sea countries fascinated with letters: from Lithuania, Lina Dudaite, Rasa Joni, from Estonia – Tiia Mets, from Finland – Sari Airola and Hanna Holm, Germany – Jana Wilsku and from Poland, among others: Katarzyna Bogucka, Anna Kaszub-Dębska, Iwona Chmielewska, Studio Baobaby.

In the exhibition we will see the awarded works of J.Bajtlik, M.Ignerska and A.Królak. About the role of letters we will hear from such experts as: prof. Grażka Lange, PhD Anita Wincencjusz-Patyna, PhD Adam Kamiński.
Within the Baltic Meetings of Illustrators we will meet Agata Szydłowska and Marcin Misiak – the authors of the book “Paneuropa, Kometa, Hel. Szkice z historiii projektowania liter w Polsce”.
