Gdansk Press Photo – an exhibition after the photographic competition in Gdynia

Organizers: President of Gdynia, Baltic Sea Center , Kosycarz Photo Press- we have an honour to invite for the exhibition after photographic competition of IX th edition of “Gdansk Press Photo 2005”. The venue will take place in The Galery of Town Hall on 7 th of November at 16:00 in the Civic Departament in Gdynia.

The exhibition is opened from Monday to Friday from 8:00 – 16:00 to 30 th of November.

The exhibition presents all photographs prizewinning in the edition of this year “Gdansk Press Photo”. All photographs were chosen from among those taken by photographers from Pomeranian and the West Pomeranian and amateurs in a period from 1st of April 2004 to 31nd of March 2005.

All the photographs were valuated according to seven categories: event, people, everyday life, world and the life, sport, culture and photography out of the region.

Laureates from this year: Bartosz Arszyński, łukasz Głowala, Kamil Gozdan, Jolanta Hebel, Wojciech Jakubowski, Marcin Kaliński, Beata Kitowska, Przemysław Kozłowski, Damian Kramski, Robert Kwiatek, Rafał Malko, Grzegorz Mehring, Szymon Michna, Eugeniusz Nurzyński, Dominik Sadowski, Michał Szlaga, Krzysztof Tomasik, Adam Warżawa

Zbigniew Kosycarz (1925-1995), arrived to Gdansk in 1945 and from the first days he became a photochronicle of the Pomeranian region. He used to take photos of everyday life and usual people.
