The information has become the most important tool of society’s control. Immaterial values are gaining more economical importance than material objects. The advertisement and informative fuss are the dominants of the public space. Just after the Internet has appeared the unchangeable monopoly of the mass media on information distribution has started to vanish. The global net has broken the mass media monopoly for advocating the truth. The easiness of presenting one’s views caused that the paradigm based on the scheme sender/receiver has been unsettled.

The confrontation with the information system and entering into its area as an active participant of the sociopolitical processes become very important issue. The recent crises in the European Union, revealing the lack of communication between the societies and policy makers, causes that we are not able any more to follow the political idea of open and harmonious Europe. The fragile democratic system in the young democracies can not resist the inefficient structures. And this creates the new role for the cyberspace to activate its users to act and change their attitude towards reality. From the listless consumers they have become active explorers who are using new technologies for analyzing reality and creating the new one. The new social movements based on the modern IT resources and forms of organization have been changing the image of contemporary reality. Acting – no matter the scale – is through the internet always visible. Old problems are solved by using new resources and tools, but together with the technological development new problems arose. These problems that we didn't need to deal with before. Only properly lead up society, aware of danger will be able to face it quickly and efficiently. That's why one should strive to build an open society, based on the wide access to the information and using this information rationally. In the dynamic transformations of the reality only cogitative individuals are having a chance to survive. We should aspire to release the information and make it accessible to a broad public. That's the only method to build an aware society!
