The Baltic Sea Cultural Centre would like to announce a competition on a graphic project of the art installation imitating stained-glass for St John s Church in Gdańsk.

The competition is a part of interdisciplinary festival “Świętojańskie Świętowanie”, organized by the Baltic Sea Cultural Center, the Artist s Priory and the Baltic Opera.

The installation will be realized in June 2008. It will be presented in the window situated on the southern elevation of the church. The project of stained-glass will be printed on transparent plastic film cut into pieces fitting shapes of elements of the window and then fasten for at least one month. During the day it will function as a classical stained-glass window, while in the evening, during festival days, it will be lit from the inside and exposed outside the church.

In previous years the installation were made by Dominik Lejman, Jacek Staniszewski and Mirosław Filonik.
