The Polish Representative Folk Song and Dance Ensemble Wileńszczyzna was established in 1980 and last year it celebrated its 30th anniversary.
The ensemble performs not only particular dances and songs from the region of Vilnius (Lithuania), but often also combines them into separate compositions in order to present old rites. Apart of it, members of Wileńszczyzna also perform folk dances and songs of nations that have been  for centuries living in the region of Vilnius. Among them the audience will find Belarussian, Russian, Ukrainian, Jewish and Gypsy influences.
Wileńszczyzna has performed in Poland, Belgium, Holland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Austria, Italy, USA, Australia and others.
