Mariacka under the Stars is a meeting of amber and art in natural scenography of one of the most beautiful streets of old Gdansk - Mariacka Street. Here are traditionally located galleries and studios preparing and presenting amber. This is already the second time that the International Amber Asocciation prepared the celebration along with Gdańsk International Trade Fair, many cultural institutions and the St. Mary’s Basilica.

During one evening almost at all locations in the street concerts, openings of exhibitions, workshops and fashion ahows will take place. For the lovers of classical music there will be Bach and Chopin, for those who prefer jazz Mikołaj Trzaska Trio will perform. Amber studios will open for visitors presenting experiments and scientific games with amber. Visitors will be invited to watch amber sculptures, jewllery, paintings, graphics, photos, ceramics and glass. The house of Marian Kołodziej will also be open – you’re welcomed to watch short films and archive photos of the street. There are a lot of stories connected to Mariacka street – some of them you’ll be able to listen to in caffes.
