The spectacle is the graduation performance of the students of Vocal and Acting Departament of Gdańsk Musici Academy and the Directing Departament of Warsaw Theater Academy.

Cosi fan tutte, like the Marriage of Figaro, The Magic Flute or Mitriadate, rei di Ponto, is the greatest stage piece of the master from Salzburg. Libretto uses typical for the European theater of the time motive of changing the fiancees. Small, only six people cast, choir and symphonic orchestra are creating the emblematic for this composer, breath-taking sound landscape and numerous aeries, duets and ensembles from this opera are the part of the history of music as the most beautiful melodies, full of volcanic joy, unrestrained sensuality and the mystery of the genius, fully understood only by Mozart himself.

The spectacle moves us to the United States, in the 60-ties of the last century. Young, ambitious workers of advertising agency are making a bet with their boss, that their fiancees are going to be faithful no matter what temptations or circumstances life would bring. They plan a trap for the unaware and loving women: they dress up beyond recognition and are planning to seduce them, to test the strength of their feelings. The girls fall into the trap, thinking that their fiances went to war.

Libretto by Lorenzo da Ponte is full of gags and surprises. The young director together with the singers are trying to build the world on stage, world where only true and unconditional love matters, in this difficult times of the American moral revolution, war in Vietnam, the beginning of the feminist movement, Martin Luther KIng and flower-power. Will they succeed ? We invite you to st. John's Culture Center, to find out.

Duration: 2 hours 20 minutes, with 20 minutes break.
