The Grand Prix of the 17th Zbigniew Kosycarz Pomeranian Press Photo Competition Gdansk Press Photo 2013 was awarded to “Disassembly” by Adam Warżawa. A jury composed of Anna Brzezińska-Skarżyńska, Wojciech Druszcz, Kuba Atys has chosen this photograph as the best out of 1138 works submitted.
The works have been sent by 62 photographers living or working in Pomorskie Voivodeship and Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship. According to the rules of the competition, the works can be submitted in six categories: culture, people, life and the world around us, photography outside of the region, sport, and event. An additional award was funded by Paweł Adamowicz, the President of Gdansk, for a photograph connected with a sportsman from Gdansk or a sporting event that took place in Gdansk – the awards in this category went to Krzysztof Mystkowski (photojournalism “Eurohopes 2012”) and Piotr Wittman (“The final”).
