4th Baltic Meetings of Illustrators

The Baltic Meetings of Illustrators is a cycle of events taking place on annual basis focused on the best Polish and foreign book illustration. Meetings have an interdisciplinary character – they consist of exhibitions, presentationts, meetings with illustrators, publishers, writers as well as workshops both for children and young artists.

The main subject of this year’s edition of the Batic Meetings will be the works of the Prince of Illustration – eminent painter, graphic designer, sculpturer and book illustrator – Józef Wilkoń. The artist is present in over 200 books published in Poland and abroad, mainly in France, Switzerland, Germany and Japan.

The fans of his illustrations will have an opportunity to take part in Wilkoń’s author’s meeting and opening of exhibitions of his illustrations and sculptures. We will also invite you to participate in a book fair of recently published books with his illustrations and a meeting with Wilkoń’s publishers.

To the readers interested in illustration of the Baltic Sea countries we can recommend a presentation of the Lithuanian Nieko Rimto Publishing House and two valued both in Lithuania and abroad illustrators: Sigute Ach and Kestutis Kasparavicius

In the final of this year’s edition we will invite you to a panel discussion Who should like a book for children? with participation of illustrators, writers and publishers.
