Concert in the 100th anniversary of Czesław Miłosz birthday

Soon, together with great guests – writers, actors and musicians – we will celebrate a special anniversary: 100th birthday of Czesłw Miłosz. The concert in the St. John’s Centre will also be a final of the cycle of events Miłosz Multiple Portrait prepared by the Baltic Sea Cultural Centre and taking place within the Miłosz Year.
The evening will host Barbara Marcinik and Paweł Sztompke.

START: 6.00 pm
ADMISSION free (specially prepared coupons for seating places can be received in the BSCC Secretariat, Korzenna Str. 33/35, till June 20)

P R O G R A M M E

PART I - LITERATURE
The TriCity writers and poets will tell about their connections with Czesław Miłosz: Krystyna Chwin, Stefan Chwin, Mieczysław Abramowicz, Tadeusz Dąbrowski, Jacek Dehnel.
Specially selected texts of Czesław Miłosz will read: Anna Seniuk and Jerzy Zelnik.

PART II - MUSIC
Czesław Śpiewa Miłosza (Czesław Sings Miłosz)
The concert of Czesław Mozil and his band will consist of music composed to the texts of Czesław Miłosz and repertoire from albums Debiut and POP.

Musicians:
Linda Edsjo – marimba, vibraphone
Hans Find Moeler – guitar, bass guitar
Martin Bennebo Pedersen – accordion
Czesław Mozil – vocal

As a support on the stage will appear C4030 band – a winner of a contest for young musicians for the best compositions to Czesław Miłosz texts organised by the BSCC.

The project was co-financed by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Herritage within the Miłosz Year.
