Krzysztof Tymendorf recital

We are cordially inviting you for an extraordinary recital of Krzysztof Tymendorf ( alto)
 
The programme of the recital consists of:

Paul Hindemith –  Sonata op. 11 No. 4 (1919) – alto and piano

Krzysztof Tymendorf – a soloist, a descendant of a prominent Polish composer Michał Kleofans Oginski (1733 – 1855), from  a family with strong musical  traditions.  He started playing the violin at the age of 7. He graduated from Music Academy in Gdansk – an alto specialization by professor Irena Albrecht and Błażej Maliszewski. He studied also in Vienna at  Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien.

He performed and took part in many European festivals: in Germany (Berliner Philharmonie, Konzerthaus Berlin, Herkulessaal in Monachium), Austria ( Musikverein, Wiener Konzerthaus, Musik Theater Schönbrunn), Portugal, Greece, Czech Republic (Obecní Dům), Italy and Poland.

Since 2007 he has been leading a group of altos in the oldest orchestra in the world - RIAS Jugendorchester, he is also the leader of orchestras Landesjugendorchester Bremen and Junges Philharmonisches Orchester Niedersachsen.

He cooperates with Polish Chamber Pholharmonic Orchestra in  Sopot, the Baltic State Opera, Baltic Philharmonic Hall, and as a violist with Morphing Vienna Chamber Orchester. He has also performed with rock bands: Lady Pank, Coma or musicians: Joe Cocker (Europa Fest Berlin) and Edyta Górniak (Festiwal Top Trendy).

Krzysztof Tymendorf has recorded for many radio stations and TV channels (Deutsche Radio Kultur, Bayerischer Rundfunk, Radio ORF Wien, Polskie Radio Program 1, TVP 1, Polsat ).
Regardless of his young age he has performed with many great soloists as Ivry Gitlis, Kolja Blacher, Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, Łukasz Długosz, Quatuor Ebene. He is also a member of  Balthus Quartet - one of the most interesting string quartets of the younger generation.
