The Baltic Sea Cultural Centre has the pleasure to invite you to the final gala of the 8th edition of "The One Minutes" festival.

The festival is the Polish edition of the world-wide  festival reaching over hundred countries and coordinated by TOM Foundation in Amsterdam "The One Minutes". The Baltic Sea Cultural Centre in Gdansk has organized the Polish edition of the festival since 2006. The international movement  "The One Minutes" has become the brand for short film forms lasting exactly one minute. The formula suits perfectly into the modern times of quick recording and the instant processing of the registered impulses. The limitation of the time forces the creator to reconsider the material that is transformed into the movie. The conception passed through the filter of imagination and creating of the concentrated message contained within one minute is the task measuring artistic vision against the time.

For this year's edition a record number of films has been submitted-179 of which 160 passed formal procedure and reached the Jury.

The Jury of Jerzy Rados, Bogna Burska and Maciej Cuske has chosen 45 films which will be presented at the final rewards gala, later the chosen films will tour Poland. The official announcement of the competition rewards will take place on October 10, 2013,  at St. John's International Cultural Center in Gdansk at 7.
Exclusively for the occasion of the rewards gala a female group Atmen Trio has prepared music for the event and a concert entitled LOCO-motive together with visual artist Aleksander Zielen. After the concert we invite the guests to the Festival club to meet the laureates and to discuss the films in less formal atmosphere.
