Promised Land - photo exhibition by Tomek Sikora

THE PROMISED LAND

It is a story of Australian landscapes, of open spaces and of monuments made by man: houses, huts, electricity posts, railways.

These monuments are fragile, perishable.

They are yet another proof of our arrogance to the power of nature.

The infinity of Australian landscapes and their apparent emptiness provokes a more profound observation of the smaller elements of the surrounding microworld whose richness shows us a magical zone. This microworld will outlive us all.

These impressions come from my 18 000 km long journey through the Promised Land.
