The open air exhibition is available 24hrs until 29th of October. 

 

The photo contest started in 1997. Throughout the years, the jury consisted of renown photographers and people of culture: Kuba Atys, Anna Brzezińska, Dennis Chamberlin, Christoph Cieślewicz, Stanisław Ciok, Wojciech Druszcz, Aleksander Dunin-Kęplicz, Zbigniew Furman, Marek Grygiel, Wiesław Gwizdała, Rafał Klimkiewicz, Paweł Kopczyński, Maciej Kosycarz, Mirosław Kwaśniewski, Chris Niedenthal, Tomasz Nowak, Rafał Pyznar, Wojciech Rzążewski, Cezary Sokołowski, Ryszard Wesołowski, Witold Węgrzyn.

The laureates of the Gdańsk Press Photo have been: Marcin Bielecki, Renata Dąbrowska, Daniel Frymark, Łukasz Głowala, Roman Jochera, Kacper Kowalski, Damian Kramski, Robert Kwiatek, Rafał Malko, Karolinz Misztal, Maciej Moskwa, Krzysztof Mystkowski, Łukasz Ostalski, Jarosław Respondek, Michał Szlaga, Jakub Swerpel, Dominik Sadowski, Adam Warżawa.

 

The curators of the contest have been: Robert Rumas, Elżbieta Pękała, Joanna Kalkowska, Bartosz Filip. Paweł Mazur.

 

During that time, the head principals of the Baltic Sea Cultural Centre in Gdańsk also changed: Maciej Nowak (until 2001), Adam Hlebowicz (2001-2003), Arkadiusz Rybicki (2003-2004), Lawrence Ugwu (from 2004).

 

25 years of Gdańsk Press Photo is 25 years of history of Pomeranian region, Poland and the world. The photographs exhibited outside the Old Town Hall represent the past and memories of the last quarter of the century.
