The new novel by the author of “Lida”, based on Jurewicz’s life, tell about the death of his father. This event is an impulse to look back at his childhood, the trauma of the displacement from Belarus to Poland, the search for identity in the new reality. This short, simple story, describing 3 days from the moment of receiving information about the death till the funeral, resembles “severe” Scandinavian novels.
