What and why is said about Russia in Poland and Poland in Russia

The Baltic Sea Cultural Center would like to invite to the discussion on “ What and why is said about Russia in Poland and Poland in Russia” at the occasion of the publication of the book “Poles-Russians:mutual relations”.

Participants:
Maria Przełomiec
Irina Kisielowa
Piotr Mitzner
Adam Pomorski
Wacław Radziwinowicz

The debate will concentrate on several issues:
1. Perspectives of the relations between Poles and Russians
2. Promotion of culture. Role of cultural projects in the cooperation between Poland and Russia
3. Public opinion. Image of Poland and Russia in the media of those two countries.
4. Closer to mutual cognition. Journalism, science works, authors.

The book “Poles-Russians:mutual relations” is a record of the debate organized by the Baltic Sea Cultural Center, which took place in October 2006 in Gdańsk. Analyses of relations between Poles and Russians on the cultural, social and political level are a way to explain misunderstandings and clichés.
