An exhibition entitled Painters’ Exodus. Polish painters in London in the second half of 20th century presents 20 paintings and drawings by 10 distinguished representatives of Polish painters in England. Presented works of art are diverse as far as their structures, subjects and painting techniques are concerned. Due to their variety, the works illustrate a colorful kaleidoscope of artistic individualities who were members of that artistic circle. Among the presented works there are paintings and drawings by e.g. Marek Żuławski, Feliks Topolski, Stanisław Frenkiel, and Zygmunt Turkiewicz.

The exhibition has been prepared by BSCC in cooperation with the University Museum in Toruń. The exhibited objects come from the collection of the Archives of Polish Emigration and the University Museum in Toruń.

The exhibition is open from 13th of March to 7th of April 2010

Vernissage - 12th of March 2010, 6 p.m.
