Frederic Chopin Society – Gdańsk Department and the Baltic Sea Cultural Centre present Adam Kałduński piano recital.

Adam Kałduński

The pianist comes from Gdańsk. In 2015, he finished the Feliks Nowowiejski Music High School (piano class tutored by Mariusz Trzebniak). Student at the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz in piano class tutored by Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń. In 2016-2019, he was also a student of Jerzy Sulikowski.

He is the winner of the 2nd International Chopin Competition for Young Pianists in Beijing (2019). At the 49th Fryderyk Chopin National Piano Competition in Warsaw (2018), he won second prize, as well as a special prize for the best performance of the works by Ignacy Jan Paderewski. He is also a laureate of: the 16th National Piano Festival "Chopin's Interpretations of the Young" in Konin-Żychlin (2019), "Youth's Stages" 53rd Polish Piano Festival in Słupsk (2019), 11th International Competition for Young Pianists "Arthur Rubinstein in memoriam” in Bydgoszcz (2017), 22nd International F. Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth in Szafarnia (2014) and other. He took part in numerous masterclasses conducted by eminent artists, such as: Edward Auer, Dang Thai Son, Nikolai Demidenko, Kevin Kenner, Tamàs Ungar and Dina Yoffe.

The pianist is keen to perform solo as well as in small ensembles. He performs the music of Frederic Chopin with particular passion and was a frequent guest performer of the Frederic Chopin Institute.

He received a scholarship from the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the Prime Minister, the Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship, the Marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodeship, the Mayor of Bydgoszcz, the Mayor of Gdańsk, as well as the National Children's Fund, and was a four times winner of a Chancellor's Scholarship for best students.
