"2050" - graphics exhibition

In our early years, at school, we were all asked to draw or write about how we imagine future. As children we used to fantasize about the world full of robots, about people invading other planets, living in houses that do not resemble the ones we are used to.
Experiencing presence it’s easy to to see how wrong we were in our childich expectations. Is this a proof of man’s traditionalism, his care about the everyday life, its routine and comfort more than space journeys and penetrating Mars?
What does confronting our expectations concerning future with the real life tell us about human kind and the civilization? Where are we heading and what is the pace of this mysterious journey?

We invited best artists from the region: lecturers, students, graduates from the Fine Arts Academy in Gdansk and those who artistically realise themselves in graphics.
We asked them to show their vision of a year 2050. How shall we live? How will the world look like? How do they feel the future?
