St. John's Church - a place well-known to people of Gdańsk. Scenery for a TV series "Kolumbowie", a place of a construction failure and war damages, finally a place of spiritual experiences and co-existence of sacrum and profanum and historic events in Gdańsk life. "Beneficiary of the EU funds", an exceptional cultural centre, a place of artistic experiences, where present mmets with history. For us, it is also a beautiful story of a renewal.

75 years after the end of the World War II, we have completed the rebuild works of this place. As part of the 'St. John's A-New' project initiated last year, concerts, an exhibition, a conference and an educational programme on cultural heritage will take place in the coming months. The culminating event of this project will be a multimedia retrospective exhibition based on iconographic and archival documents. The viewer will be guided through the history of the Centre from the very entrance and will learn not only about the important points of timeline of this place, but also about previously unknown facts. Along with the chronology of the events, the exhibition will use with multimedia - film footage, a 3D model, computer animation and finally - a mobile application guiding through the highlights of the centre. The exhibition will mainly present BSCC's efforts to rebuild and adapt the building, and symbolically transform the church into the St John's Centre.

The exhibition will be open from 4 July to 21 September 2021 (opening on 5 July).
Opening ceremony: 5 July, 6 p.m.
