Kara of Remus – Pomerania on tour

Kara od Remus – Pomerania on tour („Kara Remusa, czyli Pomorze w podróży”) is a long term project aiming to present the most interesting achievements in arts (literature, music, film, visual arts, etc.) in Pomeranian region. Like Remus, the protagonist of Kashubian epic novel “Life and adventures of Remus” written by Aleksander Majkowski, we metaphorically fulfil our kara (a kind of carrier) with goods of Pomeranian culture, and travel with it abroad – to other regions and countries.

The first part of the project took place in Blekinge Museum in Karlskrona in 2019. We organised “Gdańsk Press Photo” exhibition there. It consisted of the best photographs by Pomeranian photo reporters, selected and awarded in Gdańsk Press Photo. The exhibition was accompanied by screening of “Adventures of Remus”, an animated film directed by Piotr Zatoń and Irena Brzeska. The event was part of the World Heritage Days 2019 in Karlskrona.
