Unique exhibition of illustrations by Janusz Grabiański (1929-1976) presenting the originals of works made by the artist for books: "Cudowna podróż Selmy Lagerlöf" and Zielony kałamarz by Franciszek Fenikowski. The artist, widely known to generations of Poles, for example from the newer version of Marian Falski's Elementarz, or Rogaś z Doliny Roztoki, as well as several hundred other books which he designed, remains one of the greatest masters of illustration. The opportunity to see the originals of his works up close will probably be an absolute joy for readers of all ages.

Thanks to the kindness of Joanna Grabiańska, the widow of the artist, we will be able to show the originals of his works. Mrs. Joanna will also be a guest at the vernissage.

On the day of the vernissage (January 14th at 6 p.m.) we will go on a wonderful journey with Janusz Grabiañski together with Joanna Grabiañska - the wife and muse of the artist, who had the opportunity to explore the secrets of the workshop and watch the Master at work. Our guest will talk about animals, kindness, and the kind of man Janusz Grabiañski was... The meeting will be led by Dr. Krystyna Rybicka, curator of the exhibition, art historian and illustrated book enthusiast, and Agnieszka Dziewulska, editor of Iskier, who chose Janusz Grabiañski's artwork as the subject of her master's thesis.
